Asian Health Services

Asian Health Services, based in Oakland, Calif., is a community health care organization that provides medical care, health education, insurance counseling and client advocacy services. The organization has been serving the city residents since 1974. It provides more than 80,000 medical, dental and behavioral health visits to over 16,000 registered patients. Asian Health Services offers a wide range of clinical services, including pediatric, dental and mental health care, HIV and AIDS testing and counseling, emergency care and adult care services. The organization also offers a variety of specialized informational and treatment programs and other support services. Its range of health education services include family panning workshops, breast cancer and pedestrian safety education, and diabetes management, tobacco cessation and domestic violence prevention programs.
