About LAYC Foster Care Program
<p>The LAYC Foster Care Program is a licensed foster care agency in the District of Columbia. In order to provide children in foster care with safe, loving, and stable homes, the program recruits and trains both English and Spanish-speaking individuals/ families and licenses them as traditional foster families, therapeutic foster families, or kinship caregivers.</p> <p>We serves newborns through 21 year olds who have been removed from their biological families by the District of Columbia’s Child & Family Services Agency due to substantiated child abuse or neglect. Once a child is placed within the home of a licensed LAYC foster family, the LAYC Foster Care Program provides supportive foster care services to the child, the foster family and the child’s biological family.</p>
