Julie Neill Designs is a collection of Lighting and Furnishings which is designed and handcrafted entirely in New Orleans by a team of talented artisans dedicated to producing pieces of unspeakable beauty. Our specialty is in producing custom pieces because each piece is made to order in our studio. This allows us the flexibility to completely customize your individual order and produce pieces which meet your specific needs and inspirations. Our design staff will work closely with you to customize the style, size and finish for your specific project. You may select from our extensive pallette of signature hand applied finishes, or we can work with you to create something completely new. Inspired by the rich tradition of art and craftsmanship which has existed in this historic city for generations, each piece is created to exacting specifications using time honored fabrication and finishing techniques. We are known for our award-winning products which draw from the design principles of antiquity and are interpreted for modern times. Our signature finishes have been developed through a combination of ancient techniques which include gilding, paint layering, powdered pigments and metals, plastering, gesso and waxing ; and modern materials which address the need to be mindful of our environment.
