The Scottsdale Cultural Council is a private, nonprofit organization contracted by the city of Scottsdale, Ariz. It administers city arts and cultural projects and manages the city-owned Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Scottsdale Public Art Program. The council programs are supported by the members, donors and grants received from the Arizona Commission on the Arts through appropriations from the Arizona State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. It encourages the participation and cooperation of government, business, education and the private sector. It provides management, fundraising, and financial services to its operating divisions and other arts organizations desiring its services.
