Family Service Center

Incorporated in 1863, the Family Service Center of Sangamon County is a voluntary, community-based, nonprofit organization. It provides human and social services to more than 3,500 children and families through several health care educational and counseling programs. The center also offers a young parent support services program that focuses on educational and support services for teen parents. It provides intercountry search and pre- and post-adoption counseling services, as well as treatment for attachment difficulties, peer problems, academic placement issues, and eating and sleeping disturbances. The Family Service Center also offers relationship, family and children therapies and case management and health status and emotional wellness monitoring services for individuals, groups and senior citizens. The Family Service Center of Sangamon County is located in Springfield, Ill.
