Founded in 1976, Marlene s Market & Deli, formerly known as Federal Way Health Foods, is a family owned and operated natural food store. It maintains operations in Federal Way and Tacoma in Washington. The store supplies a selection of organic produce, whole grocery food items, supplements and natural body care products. It conducts lectures related to acupuncture and physical deterioration and raw and living foods for beginners. Marlene s Market & Deli also organizes a foot massage session and cooking classes. It features products from the Blue Sky, Imagine, Kettle foods, Gold Rush and Health Valley brands. The store operates through grocery, bulk, organically grown produce, supplements, housewares, books, gluten-free products, baby and child, and health and beauty aids departments. In addition, its deli department features a salad bar. Marlene s Market & Deli has been recognized as one of the top 10 health food stores in the United States by the Health Food Business magazine. It employs a work force of more than 100 people.
