Newark Country Club

The Newark Country Club is a private, nonprofit club that offers a variety of recreational, social and intellectual opportunities. It has been operational for more than 75 years. The club sponsors two golf associations for its golfers, including 18-hole and 9-hole programs. It offers its male and female golfing members several opportunities to compete together in events and tournaments throughout the season. The club sponsors a swimming team, SHARKS, which provides opportunities for children between the ages of 5 to 18 years to learn swimming. It also hosts a variety of events, such as sales meetings, training sessions, retirement and rehearsal dinners, class reunions, anniversary and birthday parties, weddings, receptions, and bridal and baby showers. The club is a member of the Delaware Women's Golf Association and the Women's Golf Association of Philadelphia. The Newark Country Club is located in Newark, Del.
