The Sub Shack is owned by the MANGIAFICO family, a family dedicated to the TRADITIONAL values of hard work and DEDICATION to their CUSTOMERS .

Joe Mangiafico grew up in Point Pleasant New Jersey and started
creating submarine sandwiches over 35 years ago at his first job at one
of the Jersey Shores local favorite sub shops known as Mike's Subs.
In 1987 Joe bought this store as a franchised store and also 2 others, one in Brick, NJ and the other in Forked River NJ.

In 1994 we took the franchise out of our CUSTOMERS SUB'S, and created THE SUB SHACK. We wanted to stick to the basics, the things that made Joe's original store in Point Pleasant so well known. "As a franchise, with the reduction in quality, quantity and consistency we couldn't do that". As The Sub Shack we continue to bring our own style of quality food, service and consistency. We use only the freshest meats, greenest lettuce, juiciest tomatoes, crispiest onions, highest quality condiments and spices.....AND YES...THE LARGEST ROLLS. Our Mission Statement: To provide a quality product at a fair price with outstanding service while giving back to the community which has allowed us to succeed over the past 29 years. We believe so much in this mission that by Proclamation of the Mayor of Brick NJ we were named the volunteer business of the year in 2011 and March 11th was proclaimed "Sub Shack Day" in Brick NJ.
