About Saenger Theatre
The Saenger Theater was constructed in 1929 and opened in 1930 with the showing of Paramount’s first all talking movie “Interference”. The Theater originally hosted sound films and traveling shows. It is now a performing arts center for the Gulf Coast. The Theater includes an auditorium, balcony, green room, lobby, restrooms, and a stage. The Saenger Theater may be rented upon availability.
