Ole Hickory Pit Bar-B-Que

Originally from Paducah Kentucky, our family's Bar-b-que tradition started in 1941. Now on it's 3rd generation, Ole Hickory Pit still cooks fresh (not frozen) meat the old fashioned way with real wood logs. While others use methods to "flavor" their meats such as with MSG, Liquid Smoke, Charcoal Chips, artificial flavoring and coloring... we only use natural wood logs, lots of patience and a touch of love. Our pork shoulders may simmer for approx. 15 hours while the tender pork spareribs may slow cook for 6-8 hours. From mamaw Mable's Potato Salad made fresh from Red A Potatoes to dad's smokey BBQ Beans, our homemade side orders are cooked right here in our kitchen using the same family recipes that started it all.
