Muth Electric is celebrating 42 years of business in 2012. From its first day of operation, Muth Electric has been growing and changing. Formed in 1970, it has grown from a two-employee company, to one with over 330 employees in nine locations across South Dakota; Omaha, Nebraska and Williston, North Dakota.

Muth Electric's scope of work since 1970 has evolved into large commercial and industrial work including:hospitals, water and waste water treatment facilities, wind energy, correctional facilities, airport runway lighting, roadway lighting, hotel complexes, industrial plants, military facilities, schools, medical clinics, office buildings and major retail stores. Muth Electric has been involved in design/build teams for customers in all types of work.

Muth Electric has opened division office locations to better serve our customers. Each office has its own team of electrical service experts, fleet of service vehicles, and a complete inventory of parts and equipment; all for the purpose of providing the best in electrical service to our customers. We currently have operations in the following locations: Mitchell, Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Watertown, Brookings, Huron, Aberdeen, South Dakota, as well as Omaha, Nebraska and Williston, North Dakota.

For over ten years Muth Electric has had a separate division for our data and technology cabling operations. The work of Muth Technology is expanding as businesses see the need for more complex computerized and voice over IP telephone networks.

Customer service is stressed throughout Muth Electric. We have a two year guarantee on all our work in the Service Department and Design Build Projects. To further serve our customers, we offer a 24-hour, seven day a week emergency service network.
