Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is a leading retailer of doughnuts. Since Krispy Kreme was founded in 1937, the company has grown into a leading branded specialty retailer, producing more than 3 million doughnuts a day and over 1.3 billion a year. In addition to its Krispy Kreme stores, the company sells its doughnuts in supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail outlets throughout the country. Best known for its fresh, glazed, yeast-raised doughnuts, known as Hot Original Glazed, it also makes more than a dozen other varieties of yeast-raised and cake doughnuts. There are approximately 330 Krispy Kreme stores and 80 satellites operating in more than 40 states, Australia, Canada, Mexico, the Republic of South Korea and the United Kingdom. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts maintains its headquarters in Winston Salem, N.C., and has a location in Bentonville, Ark.
