The Food Designers is a catering business serving up delicious dishes for just about every occasion in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Since 1984, we have handled the catering for a wide range of events, but our specialty is creating memorable, distinctive and superbly executed meals for weddings. We have experience creating menus for: breakfast, buffet & boxed lunches, picnic buffets, casual dinners, reception buffets, and formal dinners. Owners Andrew and Heather Darrigan are dedicated to the vision brides and grooms like you have for your big day and what we can do to make that become a reality. We believe that no detail is too small or insignificant to overlook, and that's why we're here to help every step of the way, assisting you in choosing the menu, location, decor and entertainment for your big day. Andrew is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York and started his career working in Manhattan restaurants under nationally acclaimed chef Bobby Flay and catering for a major event company. From his start in New York to current role as caterer in Colorado Springs, Andrew has gained experience catering for every kind of group and event from large 2,500 person affairs to intimate dinner parties. The Food Designers take pride in being the recipient of many prestigious awards for their work, including Best Upscale Caterer by the Colorado Springs Gazette and Bronze Medal for Best Caterer by the Independent.
