Let's be honest: You don't go to the carnival for the rides. Nor do you go for the games, rigged so you go home without a prize to show for your efforts, your pockets significantly lighter. You go to the carnival for one reason and one reason only: the food. Lynette and Eldrid Hill recognized this fact and came up with the million-dollar idea-to open a restaurant that serves carnival food every day. The Hill's already had a trailer that sold such fare and would make appearances at festivals and flea markets. So when the fair permanently left Memphis, they devised a way to keep it around-at least in spirit-all day, every day, by opening a store front.
