Blake's Lotaburger

More than fifty years ago Blake Chanslor opened his first hamburger stand, Blake s Lotaburger, in Albuquerque, N.M. The Lotaburger made its public debut in July 1952 when customers ate a Lotabuger, chips and drank a canned soda. An immediate success, customers were rewarded for their dedication with the addition of two more locations in 1953. The company s restaurants can be found in more than 75 locations throughout New Mexico. The hamburgers are made with 100 percent United States Department of Agriculture certified Angus beef, the freshest produce and buns and are always made to order. The menu options also include chicken fingers and sandwiches, barbequed beef, turkey, fish fillets and hot dogs. Liquid refreshments include fountain pop, shakes, bottled water, coffee and hot chocolate.
