The Golden Roast

The Golden Roast coffee house and roaster has been in business at the same location for over twenty years. We roast all the coffees with our own roaster. First, the beans are purchased from a green coffee importer. This coffee is shipped in from Columbia, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Mexico, Indonesia, Peru and Ethiopia, etc. We also offer Fair trade coffee, organic coffee and select shade grown coffees. The coffee is then roasted to specific profiles, which gives each coffee its rich flavor and aroma. The coffee beans can be purchased at the store by the pound or half pound, online and various retail locations throughout Knoxville. You can also come in and sit for a while to enjoy your cappuccino or latte. The Golden Roast coffee house serves lunch, featuring soups (offering vegan & vegetarian selections), pita sandwiches, salads and decadent desserts from local Bakeries. The location close to the UT campus is excellent for those wishing to grab a quick cup of coffee before work or school, to study quietly in the corner, or to use as a meeting place to talk or play a game of chess. Students and professional groups are welcome to reserve our large table for meetings or classes. Free WiFi is always available.
